January 2016 Newsletter
Hi Farmers Market Lovers,
Happy New Year to you all, hope that you are enjoying the lazy summer days and holidays if you are fortunate enough to be away.
The New Year brings new aspirations, new resolutions and time to join the “ local food revolution” turning away from the supermarkets buying local farm origin products in 2016.
Summer brings long lazy days and holidays but summer is also a bountiful time for seasonal vegetables and fruit which continue to grow and must be sold when ready.
T & I Strawberries will have a good supply of blackberries, raspberries and strawberries while Rayners Stone Fruit have an oversupply of juicy delicious nectarines and white and yellow peaches.
As As usual Ken and Hilda from Erica will have their truck load of vegetables together with Weyhill farm with their South Gippsland garlic and Linda Bennett will be there with tomatoes and salad mixes.
Although a few stallholders are still on holidays all the staples including bread, eggs, pies and beverages will be there.
Plenty to eat at the market if you require breakfast or brunch, yes we are dog friendly, but must be on a lead at all times.
See you Saturday.
